I didn’t believe my eyes and myself that whatever I saw and heard and read was a bitter truth. I hope you have read in my blog or else knew somewhere else that Benazir Bhutto was back in Pakistan for democratic election and developing settlements for Pakistan. And when she was back, there was a suicide bomb blast in her welcome rally but she survived somehow luckily. That was a lucky day and a life to her though in that blast more than 100 people dead and many injured.
But this time she failed to get survived. Just 12 days before parliamentary polls in Pakistan, the former prime minister and the leading Prime Ministerial contender Benazir Bhutto was shot dead during an election rally in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, near Islamabad. She was an anti terrorism supporter and the brave women in the field of democracy who always wanted to see Pakistan free and democratic.
“She has been martyred,” said party official Rehman Malik. The Associated Press, citing Malik, reported that Bhutto was shot in the neck and the chest before the gunman blew himself up. At least 20 bystanders were killed in the blast. Bhutto was rushed to a hospital but she was declared dead.
According to Internet news sources, the gunman shot 5 bullets in her neck and chest. She was declared dead on 6:16 pm, 27 December (16/6/2007). After her death, the hope of democratic Pakistan that was rising slightly also gone away. She was always a wisher of free Pakistan and always tried her hard to do good for nation and powered her willness towards developments of Pakistan. She focused on electricity and education and much more things. And this time she was in Pakistan for parliamentary election and there was a great chance of her to be elected but the bad things was her demise took place.
I don’t know what goes on under terrorist people’s brain? Why do they do? Whatever they are doing, is that so great? Do they really feel proud of killing people? Can world develop with the power of bullets and guns? How long this word “Terrorist” will threaten everyone? Are we really so safe in this earth? What more to see?
I know no one have the answer. But still life goes on. What I know is Pakistan is going to face a big trouble in coming days ahead. May Pakistan be a Pak country very fast, but still and still Bhutto’s blood will be remained remembered always forever.
I drop a heartfelt condolence and sympathy for you Benazir Bhuttto. May your soul rest in peace. Good Bye Bhutto, come back if possible again. Pakistan and the whole world need the leader like you. Being the citizen of Nepal (a neighborhood country), I salute you.
