Earthquake of 5.0 rector scale in Kathmandu, Nepal

I have heard many times that the Kathmandu is in danger because one day it is going to face the big earthquake and the life will be unbalanced.  And something quite unexpectable happened yesterday.

There was 5.0 rector scale earthquake without any bad happenings in Nepal’s Capital Kathmandu. The earthquake took place in Nuwakot for about 2-4 seconds. Though the most of the people didn’t got the chance to know that it was the earthquake but the international news agency got the breaking news from it.

Thank god that none of the people found dead and nothing of the assets were damaged by the disaster. I guess it’s a trailer for the biggest disaster for future. I don’t know the actual date but long before in past there was a big earthquake in Kathmandu which destroyed the Dharahara and made short from its length, later government re-constructed it but the result was less in length.

Long Live Kathmandu Crowd. :)

  7. Central Nepal including the capital Kathmandu Valley felt tremors measuring 5 on the Richter scale Monday afternoon.

Officials at the National Seismological Centre under the Department of Geology and Mines said the earthquake hit at round 3:34 p.m.

Northern part of Nuwakot district, some 30km north-west of Kathmandu Valley, is believed to be the epicenter of the earthquake. There were no reports of damages due to the earthquake.
