Maoists Kidnapped Journalist Birendra Shah?

This is still a big question and a suspense case in the news and media sector of Nepal. Mr. Birendra Shah was kidnapped on Asoj 18 (Oct 5th) from his home in Bara District. He is a journalist and media personality of Nepal. He is linked with Nepal FM and Avenues Television.

Today its 10th day of his kidnapping and according to eyewitnesses and Federation Of Nepalese Journalists, Maoists are found guilty for this kidnap but Maoists are quiet at the present situation. Even the research made by National Human Rights Commission also states that the people/organization behind this kidnap case is none other than Maoists and appeals for his safety and life.

“Maoists should take the responsibility of the kidnap and should leave the journalist Birendra Shah safely and they should not again try to threaten the news media sector,” adds Federation Of Nepalese Journalists.

But why the Maoists are quiet in this case? Why are they not clearing or objecting for the blames they are facing? Is the research done was true? Are they really a guilty? Is there Maoists hand in Journalist’s kidnapping?

Their quietness and silence shows that they are responsible for Shah’s kidnap. And if they are really the one then they should leave Mr. Shah very soon. This kind of work by Maoists is loosing the popularity of Maoists in Nepal. I think Mr. Prachanda should treat his party and learn to play a clean good politics game and always search the way of development for country.
