Yes, our Prashant Tamang won the Indian Idol and made whole Nepal and Nepalese proud. I am really happy for this. There were total 7 crore votes and it was the ever calculated votes in the history of any contest. This time because of Prashant Tamang everything got a new distance and height and a new look to Indian Idol. Do you know that because of Prashant Tamang the TRP of the Sony Channel got high than ever. Prashant Tamang is the name of all Nepalese brothers and sisters and the whole nation’s citizen. He is the proud of Nepal and made all the BIR GORKHALI Nepalese proud.

Though he became the winner but still he didn’t forgotten his culture of wearing DHAKA TOPI (traditional Nepali cap) and he even didn’t forgotten to hug and cheer along with Amit Paul. This shows that how big is his heart and how true he is. He really behaved as a best friend and proved too. I hope Richa, the small girl who fought with Prashant Tamang in the beginning of the Indian Idol must be feeling guilty. He didn’t forgotten to thanks everyone from Darjeeling, Nepal,Police force, All his friends, Sony Channel and Indian Idol crew, Judges, Public, Fans, Supporters, etc etc etc. He was totally emotional but still he didn’t forgotten to thank everyone. This is a good quality of a good competitor and he proved that he is good human being too. He even sang the Nepali Song “Bir Gorkhali.”

And the Bipasha Basu, Alisha Chinai, Javed Akhtar might be weeping because their favorite Amit Paul didn’t won the Indian Idol. Who cares? Haha..!! I love JOHN ABRAHAM, he was just cool with Prashant Tamang, and he was supporting Prashant Tamang from the beginning. May be this was because Prashant Tamang loves football and john’s latest upcoming movie is GOAL, directly related to football. John himself announced Prashant Tamang as a new Indian Idol.

Prashant Tamang won means all the Nepalese won. I was watching the Show and I was just stucked though I knew the results already. If I have the Laptop I would update everything Live at the moment but sorry I have the old PC which I cannot take wherever I want to take it.

The results were announced between 12:15 – 12: 30 NST but I knew the results already at sharp 9:30 pm. I was watching the grand final show of the Indian Idol Live in a big screen through projector between the big crowds and my cellphone rings. It was accurate 9:30 pm. I pick up the phone, it was of Mr. Jyoti Giri, and he informed me that Prashant Tamang won the Indian Idol. He said he got a confirmation from Darjeeling. And that was the wow feeling for me.

And this way the one phase of the journey ends and the new journey starts for Prashant Tamang with a new looks, new challenge and in a new avatar. Prashant Tamang, are you hearing? We all are proud of you. The whole nepal is enjoying for your victory. Thanks for not letting us down. We voted, we supported, we didn’t slept the whole night and moreover we were wishing for you and you made a dream come true.

You rock man, Bir Gorkhali…Bir Nepali, Prashant Tamang, and the new Indian Idol.

I am really glad Prashant won. Though Amit was a very good second and I would not be surpised if he won. Anyways I voted for prashant causes his voice touches me more. Of course, now its always a challenge after all this limelight. Its tough to keep up this euphoria as one gets into the commercial world. But unlike what many worry about I think Prashant has a very special die-hard quality to carry on & on against all odds. It will be hard but I am sure he will find his bigger space. Just as a few other contestants will also - Amit, Praneel and Chang.
