Chat Service in blog, a question?

I don’t know it’s right or wrong to add a chatbox in a blog but I have done it. I got lots of request for chatbox to add in my blog though I haven’t seen any blogs with a chatbox till date. So, I would like to ask everybody about this. Do you think that adding chat service in a blog is a good step?

What I feel is, instead of increasing spams in commentbox, its good and fair enough to add chatbox in the blog. So, to keep safe for my blog I have done this and even with due respect to all the friends of this blog, I added a shoutbox widget in my blog as a chat service to all the visitors.

As everything has negative and positive sides even this chat has its own sides. Adding this widget will prevent spam kind of comments in my blog whereas I fear if someone would use the abuse languages there which I cannot control on it.

So, I would like to request all the friends and visitors to use my chat service genuinely and honestly. I hope you will not abuse the chat system, otherwise forcefully I have to decline this step again.

I hope that you will enjoy this service and follow the rules and regulations too.

so far, if you ask me, this is not a real chatbox. Chatting online is something which happens in realtime and shouldn’t be lagging of more than 5-10 seconds. But since, someone comes up, writes some words and after a day or two, another gives reply(if someone is online at the same time, there is a mere chance of replying pronto). This is not a chatbox at all. But, people has always been misleading real thing. I’d love to call it as shoutbox, because, whatever visitor writes in, it saves the log and other people will be able read and if he/she likes, then would reply.

If you are afraid of getting abusive comments and you want a moderation, then this will not help you. You’ve to pay for the service which will let your filter visitor by ip,nickname,email and so. It’ll also let you backup all the logs locally.

bro, i was trying to get this shoutbox script to load it up remotely on my server but strangely, all the shoutbox scripts have been vanished from all the servers. Few years ago, i could upload it to my own server.

if you want to do real chat things. you can kindly visit www.wyldryde.org and ask them for irc flash applet. They european/american guys are very nice. You can try them.

that’s not a good idea because this blog form is not for chat it’s for to show your own point of view in your own article……..
