Japanese festival Tanabata celebrated in Nepal, a celebration of love

love looks beautiful in any shape and angleI read an article in one newspaper and I felt like sharing the news for you guys. Actually, it’s the shortest news but the loveliest one I have ever read. For me it’s not news but a short sweet story and the program organized here in Nepal to celebrate and respect love and Japan equally.

Actually the program is organized on the occasion of Nepal-Japan’s golden jubilee of friendship. It is organized by an Asian language institute in Japanese cultural style by craving and designing different kinds of bamboos with colors and colorful papers which is known as Tankaaju.

In the festival Japanese volunteer Masako Fuji, Teruko Hiraisi, Saayo Aajumi, and Muchuko Kusumoto gave their availability in the festival. I hope they loved the idea of Nepali people, because we Nepali celebrated their culture too. And it’s really a good thing because saving the cultures is the most important thing, no matter who is saving and celebrating.

What is tanabata?

Actually, tanabata is based on an old lovestory. I don’t know it’s true or false but it’s really a sweet one. I love wondering and dreaming and I loved this story too.

According to story, in around galaxy there used to be two stars named Bhega (Orihimey) and Altayer (Hikowasi). Both falls in love to eachother but they never succeed to cross the galaxy but one night a big bird carried Orihimey in her back and crossed the galaxy and make possible to meet the two lovers.

And to remember this day people celebrates Tanabata festival in august 7 in Japan.

Isn’t this a sweet story? And I think japan really has a good culture in them. They believe in love and really strange to hear this kind of festivals.
